Processing Time

Because we offer so many different color and size combinations, each of our lanterns are made to order to meet your specifications, and we do not keep a pre-made stock. Because of this, our typical processing time is 10 BUSINESS DAYS from order to shipping, and large orders may require more time. Please be sure to keep this in mind when ordering and selecting your shipping method. We do try our best to accommodate rush orders whenever possible, but please be aware that they may be subject to an additional fee. If your event is coming up soon, please be sure to check with us BEFORE placing your order to see if we can accommodate your time frame.

Sizing details

We have general sizes for each item but can usually accommodate custom size requests.

How do I care for paper lanterns?

Your lantern will be shipped folded flat inside a plastic sleeve. We recommend that you keep these sleeves to store the lanterns in when not in use. As with all paper items, these lanterns can be warped or damaged by exposure to extreme heat or cold, or humidity. Store them in a dry place at room temperature for prolonged life.

How are your paper lanterns lit?

We recommend lighting the lanterns with a battery powered, LED light (NOT included). For added interest, we use colored LED puck-style lights to give the lanterns a beautiful glow of color. We will be happy to recommend a light if you are having trouble finding one. PLEASE NOTE: our lanterns are not safe for use with, or near, an open flame.

Do paper lanterns require assembly?

No! Our lanterns come fully assembled and ready to use. They will be shipped folded flat. Simply remove them from their protective sleeve, pop them open, and they are ready to go!

Custom and personalized orders

Most of our lanterns are able to be personalized at your request.
I love to accomodate custom orders when I am able to, but please be aware that I generally need at least 3 weeks to create a custom lantern. Some custom orders may be subject to a $20 custom design fee. We will be happy to discuss your ideas with you and let you know if there will be any additional fee involved.

How many lanterns come in an order?

One. Each lantern features 4 panels (or sides) which is why you may see two lanterns displayed in the listing photos. This is so you can see what all 4 sides look like.

Are these lanterns durable?

Yes! Our lanterns are made from high quality cardstock and acid-free adhesive. Our product is a little costlier than others because we use premium materials in the construction of our lanterns so that they can outlast your event as room decor, unique wall hangings....whatever you destine them for! When cared for properly, your lantern can be re-used for other events or even given away as party favors.

Can these lanterns be used outdoors?

Yes, so long as conditions are dry. However, if your event will be outdoors please be sure to let us know and we will add anchors to the lantern so they won't fly away. The anchors are simply two overlapping flaps that fold over one another on the inside of the lantern allowing it to be weighted down. They do not affect the outside appearance of the lantern.

Shipping Times

We offer three standard shipping options with the USPS: First Class, Priority Mail, and Priority Mail Express. First Class mail, while the cheapest option, is also the slowest, typically taking anywhere from 4-7 business days to arrive once the order is shipped. Priority Mail typically takes 2-3 days to arrive, and Priority Mail Express is 1-2 days. If your order is needed within the next 2 or 3 weeks, please be sure to choose one of the Priority Mail options, rather than First Class. We will ship the item according to the shipping option you choose at checkout. If you prefer a different carrier, please check with us and we will get pricing options for you.
